Located beside the sacred lotus pond of Pura Taman Kemuda Saraswati, The Café Lotus has welcomed visitors since 1983. Founded by Anak Agung Arimas, wife of the King of Ubud, Tjokorda Gde Agung Suyasa, the restaurant began as Warung Teratai and has grown into one of Ubud’s most iconic dining destinations.

Managed by Puri Saraswati Dijiwa Ubud, The Café Lotus preserves authentic Balinese cuisine through traditional recipes, local ingredients, and warm hospitality. The peaceful lotus pond and temple backdrop create a memorable dining experience in the heart of Ubud.

Since 2005, nightly Balinese dance and gamelan performances have become part of its cultural identity. A thoughtful revitalization in 2025 refreshed the restaurant while preserving its architecture, atmosphere, and heritage.

Today, The Café Lotus continues to celebrate Balinese food, culture, and tradition. Together with Puri Saraswati Dijiwa Ubud, it offers a timeless destination where history, local flavors, and cultural performances come together beside the iconic lotus pond.
