Less than a year after a successful fundraising event, Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort and Bali Life Foundation officially opened a Southwest Sumba school on 15 July 2026. The school provides children in the Tambolaka community with a safe place to learn, grow, and pursue brighter futures.
The inauguration was attended by the Regent of Southwest Sumba, resort leaders, Bali Life Foundation, teachers, students, and local residents. The project began with a shared vision that one act of generosity could create opportunities for generations.
The school was funded through An Evening of Elegance & Empathy at Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort. Here, is the first charity gala held on 14 November 2025. The event raised IDR 500 million (around USD 30,000) to support education for underserved communities through Bali Life Foundation.
Building on this achievement, the resort will host its second annual charity gala, An Evening of Purpose & Possibility, on 11 December 2026. The initiative will continue supporting education and creating opportunities for children and families across Indonesia.
