Symphony of Indonesia 2026 Brings Indonesia’s Heritage to Life in Sanur

The Meru Sanur and Bali Beach Hotel, The Heritage Collection, will present Symphony of Indonesia 2026 from 16–17 August 2026. The annual celebration honours Indonesia’s Independence Day through music, culture, community, and meaningful experiences by the sea. Set along Sanur’s serene coastline, the event reflects a commitment to preserving Indonesian heritage while creating connections between people, tradition, and modern hospitality.

Inspired by the Balinese philosophy of Tri Hita Karana, Symphony of Indonesia celebrates harmony between people, nature, and culture. The programme highlights the return of Surya Sewana Sunrise Jazz, led by Indonesian jazz maestro Indra Lesmana, on the morning of 17 August. The seaside performance brings contemporary jazz together with traditional elements while welcoming the first light of Indonesia’s Independence Day.

Following the sunrise performance, a commemorative flag ceremony will bring together elementary school students from Sanur in a celebration of unity and national pride. The programme also features traditional Indonesian games, medical check-ups, and inclusive community activities involving children from Yayasan Kanker Anak Indonesia and Dharma Jati Orphanage. Children can explore Indonesian heritage through DIY Wayang, storytelling sessions, and cookie decorating.

The celebration will also feature special Independence Day dining experiences. Peken Senggol Brunch at Arunika Restaurant on 16 August is priced at IDR 650,000++ per person, while Bali Beach Cultural Night at Bali Beach Bar & Grill on 17 August is priced at IDR 600,000++ per person. Through Symphony of Indonesia 2026, The Meru Sanur and Bali Beach Hotel, The Heritage Collection offer a meaningful celebration of Indonesia’s heritage, creativity, community, and enduring spirit.
