The Apurva Kempinski Bali Celebrates Indonesia’s Heritage at Powerful Indonesia Festival 2026

The Apurva Kempinski Bali presents the Powerful Indonesia Festival 2026 on 16–17 August 2026 at Candi Ballroom, in partnership with Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI). The two-day celebration marks Indonesia’s 81st Independence Day through art, culture, gastronomy, craftsmanship, and music.

Inspired by the resort’s Powerful Indonesia: Spice Route Legacy campaign, the festival explores Indonesia’s maritime heritage beyond the historic spice trade. It highlights how the archipelago’s seas connected communities, cultures, knowledge, beliefs, and craftsmanship across generations.

The programme features environmental talks by Biorock Indonesia, an artisan talk and exhibition by Balinese artist Putu “PW” Winata, and a live printmaking demonstration by Black Hand Gang Studio. Music performances include Pancer Langit, Nada 1928, Nyonya Ayu, and several local DJs.

A creative market will showcase up to 20 Indonesian artisans and homegrown brands, highlighting textiles, jewellery, design, and sustainable craftsmanship. Guests can also enjoy Indonesian dishes prepared by the resort’s chefs, while a special ceremony honours Indonesian veterans for their service and sacrifice.

Following its successful debut, the Powerful Indonesia Festival 2026 returns with a stronger focus on local talent, cultural heritage, sustainability, and the creative economy. Open to the public, the festival offers an opportunity to experience Indonesia’s culture while supporting its artists, artisans, and MSMEs.
