The Westin Resort & Spa Ubud, Bali, presented Suara Warna Art Showcase in conjunction with World Mental Health Day, celebrating courage, resilience, and self-expression through art. The opening welcomed approximately 50 guests, including media partners, art collectors, business partners, and local community members. The evening began with a heartfelt musical performance by Indira, a young artist from Yayasan Peduli Kemanusiaan Bali (YPK Bali). Throughout the month, the resort’s lobby hosts artworks that encourage reflection, meaningful connections, and conversations about emotional well-being.

The Suara Warna Art Showcase features intuitive paintings by Mira El Amir, watercolors by Arina Proboningtyas, sculptures by Ayu Sri Rejeki, and artworks by five young artists from YPK Bali. Each artist shares a unique journey through creativity, exploring themes of healing, transformation, courage, and hope. From Mira’s vibrant paintings and Arina’s nature-inspired watercolors to Ayu’s sculptures reflecting women’s emotional experiences, the exhibition celebrates art as a powerful form of personal expression.

The young artists’ collection highlights nearly two years of learning, perseverance, and imagination under the guidance of volunteer art instructor Mr. Yoda. Using a technique that involves blowing paint across canvases through straws, the children transform colorful patterns into imaginative compositions. These activities also support YPK Bali’s work in disability rehabilitation, education, and community outreach. The painting sessions help develop oral motor skills, encourage self-expression, and build confidence and social connections.

“Suara Warna is a celebration of the incredible strength, creativity, and resilience that exists within every individual,” said Saraswati Subadia, General Manager of The Westin Resort & Spa Ubud, Bali. All artworks created by the children remain available for purchase throughout the exhibition, with 100% of the proceeds donated directly to YPK Bali. Through this initiative, the resort highlights how creativity can nurture well-being, strengthen community connections, and give every individual an opportunity to share their story.
