The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali has appointed Arun Kumar as General Manager of the resort and Bali International Convention Centre. He also becomes Area General Manager – Bali for Marriott International’s Premium and Select Properties, overseeing 21 hotels and resorts across the island.
With more than 30 years of hospitality leadership experience, Kumar returns to Indonesia from his previous role as Market Vice President for North India, Nepal and Bhutan. There, he led the performance and strategic growth of 60 Marriott International hotels across the region.
His career includes leadership roles at The Westin Jakarta, The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Mega Kuningan, and JW Marriott Jakarta. He also led major operational transformations in the Caribbean and received several Marriott International recognitions, including General Manager of the Year – Asia Pacific in 2019.
At The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali, Kumar will oversee the 432-room resort and the adjoining BICC, with a focus on wellness, guest experiences, meetings and events, destination weddings, family travel, and sustainability. The appointment marks a new chapter for the beachfront resort, combining Kumar’s international experience with its continued focus on wellbeing, hospitality, and meaningful travel experiences.
